SEEING IS BELIEVING

SEEING IS BELIEVING
Today, with the wonder of MRI it is now possible to see electrical impulse in the brain. When we hear a word or sound that has no meaning a small frontal lobe electrical impulse shows up. If the word or sound has meaning, then there is a larger area of activity. Seeing the word as we hear it gives more activity. Repeating the sound involves even more area. But the most remarkable part of this scenario is found in the fact that when the word is sung in rhythm, the entire brain is involved. This revelation show us the power music has to involve and enliven the brain. This activity has power in continuing such activity for some time after the singing has stopped.
